ABOUT MEDIATION

Conflict is a natural part of life. Mediation is a useful conflict management tool. The mediators at West Coast Resolution Group, Nichola Krebsbach and Jordan Brown, are trained to understand the source of conflicts and identify a path away from adversarial positions toward positive change and growth. Mediators create a space to have difficult conversations that lead to resolution. Parties should expect to have honest discussions about the merits presented, the risks and rewards of litigation, and be open minded to reaching a solution.

APPROACH

West Coast Resolution helps parties “do conflict” better. We use a dual-mediator model, working as a team to find solution. We are compassionate, yet candid and direct. We are committed to exploring every avenue of resolution by having honest discussions with the parties, while listening respectfully and “hearing” all sides. We emphasize a facilitative approach to mediation, focusing on cooperation over competition while assisting parties to work toward peaceful resolution.

SKILLED IN THE ART OF MEDIATION

We are skilled at using various tools to narrow differences and to move the parties to common ground. This includes understanding the rhythm of a mediation, knowing when to allow the parties to make opening statements, when to use joint sessions, as well as the use of tools to bridge a gap, such as the use of brackets and/or a mediator’s proposal.
